Your Facilitator:

Hi! I am Donetta Floyd, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist from Henderson, NC. I am a proud Aggie and Eagle alum attending rival Historically Black Universities. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from North Carolina A&T State University and Master of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from North Carolina Central University.

I am a mom, sister, daughter, niece, cousin, and friend. I love spending time with family and friends, creating new memories. I like game nights, outdoor activities, sports, cookouts, and scratch-made banana pudding. I love all things nutrition and one of my passions is working with individuals living with diabetes. I believe it is possible to be in good health regardless of a person’s weight or body size. I believe people can thrive while living with health conditions. I believe food is nourishment to the body and should be enjoyed socially and culturally. I love to meet people where they are on their journey.

You are empowered to prosper on your journey of managing diabetes. Community awaits you! I hope to meet you soon and join the journey of managing diabetes with you!
